A new TV show promotes Vietnamese culture

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Television (VTV) have introduced a new TV programme designed to promote Vietnam’s cultural image to the world.

The programme, Chao Vietnam (Hello Vietnam), to be broadcast on Vietnam Television’s cable channel VCTV, will provide the latest information about tourism services and film shows to cater to viewer demands at home and abroad.

The programme will provide the audience, particularly those overseas, with films that have won top prizes at national and international film festivals.

It will also include (TV commercials) that focus on the local tourist industry’s attractive destinations and outstanding festivals.

Each five-minute commercial will highlight traditional culture and lifestyle created by people in different areas.

The ministry plans to spend VND5 billion a year to produce the ads.

The programme’s producers are the Ministry’s Cinematography Department and BHD, one of the country’s leading private film companies.

They have invested in programme facilities, human resources and computer systems.
