The Brazilian symphony orchestra, Bachiana Brasileira, will give a performance at the Vietnam National Conservatoire at 8pm on October 6 to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Brazil and Vietnam.

The event is co-sponsored by the Brazilian embassy in Hanoi and the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Bachiana Brasileira symphony orchestra was established in Rio de Janeiro in 1999. Since its founding, the orchestra has commissioned new pieces of music, created musical plays, and performed throughout Brazil and Europe.

In Hanoi, the orchestra will perform classical and folk music commemorating well-known Brazilian composer Villa Lobos and others.
