CPV delegation joins newspaper festival in Japan

A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Dinh The Huynh, member of the Party Central Committee and Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan dan (People) newspaper took part in the 40th festival of Akahata newspaper, the organ of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP).

The festival was held in Yumenoshima Park in the suburb of Tokyo on November 6-7 to raise the Japanese people’s understanding of the role and operations of the JCP, and strengthen cooperation between the JCP and other political parties around the world.

Apart from cultural and artistic activities, the participants also joined discussions on current events in Japan in particular and in the world in general during the festival.

Established in 1928, Akahata newspaper now runs a 16-page daily and a 36-page weekly with a total circulation of 1.6 million. Besides its staff in Japan, the newspaper also has a contingent of reporters based in ten countries, including Vietnam.
