Around 600 Vietnamese traditional dresses (ao dai) will be displayed at a fashion show in Hanoi on October 1 to mark 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

100 fashion models and beauty queens will take part including Miss World Vietnam Ngo Phuong Lan and Miss Sports Tran Thi Quynh.

The collection of ao dai, designed by Ngan An, a Vietnamese designer, reflects characteristics from the north, central and the southern regions. In addition, designer Duc Hung will also introduce his latest collection entitled four seasons.

The 45-minute programme will be broadcast live on VTV1, VTV4, VTV5 and other international channels such as CNN, BBC, CNBC, KBS and Bloomberg.
