The Thang Long-Hanoi International Tourism Festival will take place at Bao Son Paradise Theme Park from October 2-5 to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

This was announced by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Hanoi City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism made the announcement on August 24.

According to the organising board, the festival, the most important event of the 2010 National Tourism Year hosted by the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee, is expected to draw around 30,000 visitors per day.

There will be about 376 pavillions displaying Vietnam and other countries’ tourist products and a wide range of cultural and culinary activities during the festival.

A seminar on promoting the value of cultural heritages and traditional craft villages to develop tourism will also be held to strengthen ties with domestic and international partners.
