It dates back 1818, the 17th year of King Gia Long’s reign, according to Han writings on its two faces.
The stele, found by the Nguyen Huu Dien family, is one of the five missing steles of the Dinh Hac (Hac communal house) in the locality.
It is 1.4 in high, 0.59 in wide, and 0.19 in thick.
The early Nguyen dynasty stele is a very valuable find in terms of science, history and especially fine arts, scientists said.
