International Arrivals to Vietnam Rise 18.1% in Six Months - Vietnam travel news

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) said foreign visitor arrivals in the first six months of 2011 are estimated to expand 18.1 percent year on year to 2.97 million arrivals.

The number of international visitors to Vietnam for tourism, leisure and relative visit continued to climb. Particularly, as many as 1.8 million arrivals landed Vietnam for Vietnam travel purpose, up 11.2 percent, and 513,000 visited relatives, up 77.6 percent.
 
In June 2011, as many as 446,900 international visitors arrived in Vietnam, up 19 percent year on year. Up to 83 percent, or an equivalent of 371,000 arrivals, used airways, up 25.5 percent on year.
 
Remarkably, visitors from all markets rose in the first half. The flows from Cambodia took the lead with 77.4 percent growth, followed by China with 51.5 percent, Malaysia with 16.7 percent, Japan with 11.7 percent, and France with 8.5 percent.

This is very good news about Vietnam travel 2011. Vietnam need to do more to promote Vietnam travel to internationals and attract more international travel tours in Vietnam.
