Visitors can view original documents like a map of Dien Bien Phu valley and the order signed by General Vo Nguyen Giap sent to the Vietnam People’s Army during the campaign. The exhibition also includes a wide range of objects and images relating to the logistical work carried out during the campaign such as bicycles being used to transport supplies to Vietnamese forces fighting French troops.
On display are also books written by General Giap about the victory and images of present-day Dien Bien city becoming an attractive historical destination for both domestic and foreign visitors.
The Vietnam Revolution Museum will also host discussions with veterans from the historic campaign.
The exhibition will run until June 5 at 25 Tong Dan street, Hanoi.
