It was announced at a press conference in Hanoi on November 29 that they were selected from more than 5,000 entries sent by artists nationwide in four years from January 2006-August 2010.
The event aims to review and assess the state of Vietnamese fine art over the past five years. According to the organising board, the chosen art works reflect the creativity and professional skills of contemporary Vietnamese artists, especially the new young painters.
Tran Khanh Chuong, President of Vietnam Fine Art Association, who is also deputy head of the organising board, said that the exhibition aims to display work by artists during the renewal process.
