More than 60 films from countries all over the world will participate in the first Vietnam International Film Festival to be held in Hanoi in October.
Nguyen Duy Anh, Deputy Director in charge of external relations from the Vietnam Cinematography Department said the festival is expected to be a good opportunity for Vietnamese film makers to learn from their foreign partners and boost cooperation.
Vietnam plans to send the film “Canh dong bat tan” (Endless Field) of the BHD company as entry to the festival.
During the festival, seminar and activities to promote Vietnam’s film industry will also be held.
According to the Vietnam Cinematography Department, the agency has reached an agreement with the organising board of the Busan Film Festival on helping Vietnam organise international film festival.
