A contest entitled “Beauty Plus” will be held on November 14 at the Vietnam Youth Theater, Hanoi, to honor the beauty, talent and spirit of women living with HIV.

The event is financed and organised by the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and in collaboration with the Centre for Supporting Community Development Initiatives, Vietnam Television’s youth-focused channel VTV6, and the Bright Futures Network (BFN).

15 finalists will participate in the final round which will be broadcast live on channel VTV6. First, second, third and other prizes will be given to the best contestants.

Jury members include fashion designer Xuan Thu, TV journalist Ta Bich Loan, artist Le Khanh, and Miss Vietnam 2006, Mai Phuong Thuy. The US ambassador to Vietnam, Michael W. Michalak, will crown the Beauty Plus winner at the finale.
