There is a special and large – scale culture, sports, tourism event which is going to be held in An Giang from July 15-17. This event promises to bring a lot of interesting and significant activities of Cham culture to tourists and create a good chance for those who want to learn more about the culture of Cham people.

The event is an occasion to let tourists know more about Cham culture. It is held by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the theme “preserve and promote Cham culture in the country’s sustainable development”. There are eleven provinces and cities registering to take part in the event including: Danang, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The event is held with the aim at uniting and honoring the cultural values of Cham people throughout the whole country and to international friends. It will have a lot of fascinating activities which are going to be organized during the event.

Participating the event, tourists will take the opportunity to explore Cham culture, Cham traditional customs, Cham cuisine and traditional professions. There are many traditional things to take part in and enjoy from the event. Some of other activities not to miss to join throughout the event such as: exhibition displaying photos, objects, costumes, musical instruments, typical cultural products of the Cham as well as sport competitions.

During the time of event, a conference on Cham people’s culture within the country’s sustainable construction and development will be organized in order to promote and strengthen the spread of Cham culture.
