“Although the demand for a theme park is huge in Vietnam but government policies have not encouraged investors for the industry,” said Pham Trung Luong, deputy head of the institute at the Vietnam International Real Estate and Entertainment Connections conference and exhibition held in Ho Chi Minh City on June 12.
The Experts at the conference said the reasons why Vietnam doesn’t have any major entertainment parks: unstable politics on land development, no incentives for entertainment park construction, cumbersome procedures, weak management abilities, and limited resources for the industry.
Accoring to Luong, the government has approved a master plan for 40 national tourism spots and he said that he welcomes investments into theme parks in those areas, and he also said “We recognise that entertainment parks will increase value for real estate and attract more local and international tourists to Vietnam,”
