Over 567,000 international visitors visited Vietnam in June, increasing of 30%, said the General Statistics Office (GSO).

The total number of foreign visitors hit 3.54 million in the first half, up 2.6% against the same period last year.

Over 2.16 million visitors came to the country as tourists, representing 61%; followed by business travelers and those who visited relatives.

Tourists from Russia saw the largest surge with 58%; followed by those from Thailand (24%), Indonesia (21.5%) and China (21%).

The tourism administration predicted that the tourism market would recover in the upcoming months.
