According to the mausoleum’s management board, nearly 29,000 people, including more than 9,700 foreigners, visited the mausoleum on February 10, 12, 13 and 14.

Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi welcomed close to 20,000 visitors, mostly foreigners, during Tet.

Nguyen Van Son, Director of the Hanoi-Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center, said the centre organized numerous cultural activities, including an exhibition showcasing ornamental plants and spring flowers, to serve visitors during the first days of the Lunar New Year.

It has also opened to the public a newly-excavated archaeological site behind the Doan Mon (southern gate) relic. Visitors to the site can see a water supply system and parallel ground wall from the time of the Ly dynasty, he added.

On February 15, the Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi opened a spring festival with a wide range of artistic activities and folk games.

The three-day annual event has educated visitors about the unique cultural identities of ethnic groups in the mountainous northern region, especially Yen Bai Province.
