The Vietnamese ambassador to China, Nguyen Van Tho, recounted the foundation and development of Thang Long-Hanoi over its 1000 year history concluding that today Hanoi deserves to be Vietnam’s most important centre of politics, economics, culture and international exchange.
The diplomat called for Vietnamese people in China to remember their homeland and contribute their intelligence and efforts to help Hanoi flourish.
At the event, funds were raised to help the flood victims in the central provinces.
