Participants focused their discussions on building the centre into a place for Vietnamese to learn about their roots and to introduce Vietnamese culture to foreign friends.
They said along with organising traditional art performances, talks on Vietnamese culture and customs, weeks of Vietnamese gastronomy, tourism and arts, the centre should open Vietnamese language courses to help young Vietnamese discover their homeland culture.
Addressing the function, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Le Kinh Tai expressed his wish that the Vietnamese community would continue to contribute to developing the Vietnam Cultural Centre, the first in France as well as in Europe.
