All three young Vietnamese entrants have been awarded prizes in the recent annual Val Tidone International Music Competition in the Italian city of Piacenza, thus establishing the Hanoi Conservatory of Music’s reputation as a top-class training establishment.

Young pianist Luu Hong Quang,18, was awarded second prize for gaining 90 points out of a 100, as no contestant received the top prize for 95 points or more.
