1. How to go to Co To island?
Hanoi – Cai Rong port passenger coach departs at 7 am every Friday in 620 Kim Ma street, the ticket costs 160,000 VND per person.
Hanoi – Cam Pha, Cua Ong passenger coach departs from My Dinh bus station and Luong Yen bus station. The ticket’s price is about 100,000 – 120,000 VND per person. When the pessanger coach stop at Van Don’s intersection, you get down and catch a bus or a taxi to go to Cai Rong port, the bus ticket is 5,000 per person.
Going by motorbike
It will be very convenient and interesting if you go by motorbike. Departing from Hanoi, there are many ways to go to Cai Rong port, but the most popular way is Bac Ninh highway and highway 5 (Hanoi-Hai Phong).
Going to Co To island by wooden ship
- The wooden ship going to Co To island in the morning departs at 7 am from Monday to Friday.
- The wooden ship going to Co To island in the afternoon departs at 1 pm on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
- The ticket price is 95,000 VND per person.
Going to Co To island by high-speed boat
- The high-speed boat going to Co To island departs at 1 am everyday and comes back Cai Rong at 8 am every day.
The ticket price is 135,000 VND per person.
2. Travelling in the island
In order to travel in the island, you can choose one of means of transport below:
You can rent a motorbike for 150,000 – 220,000 VND a day (this price does not include the price of petrol. The price of petrol in the island is about 25,000 – 30,000 VND a liter. You also can travel by electric car or taxi.
3. Accommodation
In Cai Rong:
There are many hotels here. The price is about 300,000 – 1,500,000 VND for a room.
In Co To:
Coming to Co To, you can stay in the hotel or rent local people’s house or choose homestay service. The price of hotels in the island is about 300,000 – 600,000 VND for a room. To homestay service, the price is about 60,000 – 70,000 per person.
4. Eating and drinking
The price of food in Co To is quite reasonable. The price for a meal of seafood is about 80,000 – 120,000 VND per person.
