About 60 kilometers northeast far away from Bac Giang city, Nuoc Vang Stream located in Luc Son commune (Luc Nam, Bac Giang) which belongs to Western Yen Tu natural preservation area is a interesting tripping destination for visitors who want to enjoy adventure.
The road to Nuoc Vang Stream is meandering, curved. There are unstable rocky parts, after a flood there will be stones, tree brands, wild leaves which stand across the road and make it harder to be passed. The springs crossing the road prevent vehicles from passing through, Luc Son people must set up contemporary wooden bridges for transportation.
Nuoc Vang is the name of the stream which pours down from the top of Phat Son Mountains. The stream has its name because the only color of its water is honey-yellow all time in year. Tourists who have visited the stream for the first time will surely surprised at the featured and unique color of this.
Come to Nuoc Vang, people have chance to contemplate a majestic, vast natural area; Western Yen Tu natural forest preservation area with various animals, many kinds of wild orchids, specious herbal medicine such as aloe wood, ba kick (ba kích), amomum, Po mu…; and many animal species such as: black white-cheek gibbon, horse bear, yellow deer, squirrel, civet cat, wild birds…. The weather is pure and cool in this area. That the area is usually covered by the fox clowns in the later months of year is so suitable for tourism and resort.
Tourists will enjoy the exciting and unforgettable moments when passing waterfalls, going through jungles, streams. It takes over a haft of day to discover and conquer the stream from the lower reaches to the source after passing nearly 20 big and small waterfalls. Some of the most beautiful ones are Anh Vu Waterfall, May Waterfall, Giot Waterfall, Nuoc Vang Waterfall. All waterfalls are fascinating, in the bottom of each one, there is natural swimming pool which can contain up to 20 to 30 people and is the place for free activities, body cooling with the cold water source from the height.
The top of Nuoc Vang Stream is not far from Dong temple- Yen Tu and Ngoa Van hermitage (where Dieu Ngu Giac Hoang- King Tran Nhan Tong took the vow hiddenly and peacefully died), from here people can clearly see Yen Tu on the eastern side. Visitors also can pass Phat Son Mountain to go to Ho Thien monastery (where extreme ancestor Tran Nhan Tong took the vow, explained religion).
