Tien Giang's festivals

Published: 08:36 Saturday - July 23, 2016 Tien Giang is famous for not only the beautiful natural landscapes but also many different traditional festivals. However, each festival has a special feature that makes people remember about it.

1. Ky Yen dinh Vinh Binh festival

The festival held from 14th to 16th December (lunar calendar) every year in Vinh Binh, Dinh Binh district town of Go Cong Tay, Vinh Tien Giang province. In the festival has taken Marian shrines Thien YA Na Vinh Binh and then taken home, the villagers contributed many gifts, dragon dance organization, the ceremony sacrifices by living organisms.

2. Nghing Ong festival

The festival held from March 9 to March 10 (lunar calendar) every year at his tomb Nam Hai Lang hamlet, Vam Lang Commune, Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province. The festival has procession from identity Phuoc Kieng home by stagecoach, holiday buckets experimental rig, hydraulic offerings, offering shadowy bias, multiple songs, singing teacher, Nghing Ong ceremony at sea with hundreds of decorated boats .

3. Victory of Ap Bac festival (January 2 each calendar year)

At the ruins of Ap Bac, Tan Phu, Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province. Battle of Ap Bac is a historic battle, break the tactical transport helicopter, set away from the U.S. campaign on 2-01-1963. 4. Nam Ky Khoi Nghia festival (November 23 each calendar year)

5. Anniversary of the death national hero Truong Dinh (August 20 each calendar year)

Binh Tay General Marshal Truong Dinh died on 20-8-1864. Anniversary ceremony held in Truong Dinh Temple (in Go Cong town), home Gia Thuan (Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang Province) in a large scale, many provinces guests attended the ceremony every year. In Go Cong town more spiritual ceremony procession and offered flowers at the monument national hero Truong Dinh.

6. The national hero's anniversary Thu Khoa Nguyen Huu Huan (April full moon lunar year)

7. Tu Kiet's anniversary (December 25 lunar year)
