Besides the world records of gigantic beauty of caves, Phong Nha – Ke Bang (Quang Binh province) is also unique area for bio-diversity and also the natural habitat which serve the important significance for the preservation of bio-diversity.
There are also many endangered species which are listed in the Vietnamese red book and in the world record as: gayal, cheetah, trachypithecus ebenus, Ha Tinh ebenus and thousand-year old fine woods, Bach Xanh unique forest complex.

Recently, there has been much surprising news to scientists that in the national park in Phong Nha-Ke Bang, peope collected 4 samples of Laonastesaenigmamus in the En cave. This is his first record of Laonastesaenigmamus in Vietnam- a kind of animal which was considered as “ live fossil” 13 years ago.
Scientists have recorded 8 new kinds of animal in Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park as: hose gecko with red tail, toad with big ears, Ichthyophis worm and some kinds of insects…There are 3 new kinds of animals: scorpion Thien Duong, tailorbirds in the limestone mountain.
The information of the new kind of scorpion in Thien Duong cave, the information was published in the global magazine C.R.Bilogies issue 335 in 2012. This new kind of scorpion was named Bo cap Thien Duong in Vietnamese and Vietbocap thienduongensis in science.

According to Dr Pham Dinh Sac ( the Institue of ecology and creature resource), in December 2010, he and some other scientists have discovered some another scorpions in Tien Son cave ( in Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park) which were named Vetbocp canhi Lourenco and Pha, 2010. Two kinds of scorpions are listed as the endangered animal n the world.
This kind of animal lives and adapts themselves to the living condition in caves. Up to now, 4 species of 3 kinds of Troglokhmmouanus (Laos), Pseudchatas (Uzbekstan and Tajikistan) and two above kinds in Vietnam; 10 new kinds of fishes, 4 kinds of reptiles and a 6 –color horn snake whichdisappeared for 50 years were discovered.

Scientists assume that ecology in Limestone Mountains and caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang have been the shelter accommodations for many kinds of animals and plants as well as natural phenomenon to be discovered and studied.
People are expecting new discoveries, Phong Nha- Ke Bang will be the common house for so many things that human people believe them not exist. The Centre of Science and Wild animal research of The national park Phong Nha- Ke Bang said that: in the short period of time, they discovered much mysteries about the world of animas and plant, which surprised the scientists. Andrei Kouznelsoy the researcher about the world of animals and plants grieved that in his decades of working in Asia, he hasn’t seen such an interesting place like this.Each step hides an astonishing discovery. All are first-class ranking discoveries in his life of science research. In 2004, when Vietnam published 144 kinds of amphibians, Phong Nha-Ke Bang accounts for 144 kids.
