The landscape of Khe Ro is very wild and fascinating with bushy canopies, springs, falls, rocky rapids, especially pure blue lakes inside the forest where people can freely swim and take a bath.
The majority of local residents belong to Tay ethnic group; others are the Dao, Chinese and Kinh people. Every day, they go to the forest gathering herbal medicine in the morning, in the afternoon they wash clothes and take a bath near the springs. Their life is simple and goes peacefully.
Visitors to Khe Ro usually rest in houses on stilts of the forestry, the easy-going and hospitable forest guards. Chicken bought in the village, fishes got from the streams, a handful of spinach from local families and a bottle of plain wine are enough for host - guest to slowly chat until night. In the quietness of mountainous region, visitors will be free to review the moments when going on the trail on the mountain slope or passing the winding springs with transparent water containing pebbles in the bottom that can be seen clearly.
Due to the typicality of high mountainous region, Khe Ro primitive forest has pure air and cool springs that are suitable for trips and climbing adventure. Furthermore, there are two beautiful streams in the forest: Nuoc Vang stream having honey yellow water and different-sized, colorful stones; Khe Din stream stretching with 3-to-4-floor waterfalls and each floor is about 30-40m high. The waterfalls pour water down, creating transparent puddles such as: vung tron, vung soong… where people can swim or take a bath.
