During the event, co-organised by the Indian Embassy and the Indian Business Chamber in Viet Nam, Hanoians were enthralled by both traditional and modern dances, culinary arts and unique cultural identities such as yoga and traditional handicrafts.
Especially, India’s custom of lighting candles attracted many people.
This year’s event also saw the participation of famous Indian rock band UDX and violist Aneesh Vidyashankar, who boasts 19 years of experience.
Diwali is one of India’s most important festivals organised at the end of October or the beginning of November to welcome the New Year according to Hindu calendar.
The event offers a chance for Indian people to show their respect for Goddess Lakshmi – a symbol of happiness, prosperity, beauty and faith in the victory of the fight between good and evil. The festival has been organised in 13 countries in the world.
