The organizing committee also granted two second prizes, three third prizes and ten consolation prizes. The best 206 photos will be exhibited on National Day, September 2, and liberation day of Hanoi on October 10.
The contest aimed to promote and honor tangible and intangible cultural heritages and natural heritages of Vietnam which have been acknowledged by UNESCO.
The exhibitions are expected to take place at Danang’s Fine Arts Museum from August 30 to September 6 and at Hanoi’s photography and fine arts center October 10-17. After that, the photos will be on display at other provinces and cities nationwide and they will also help promote Vietnam’s tourism industry in foreign countries, attract more foreign tourists for Vietnam travel as well as increase the number of tours in Vietnam. Organizers received 2,012 entries from 282 photographers.
