Cao Lau in Hoi An

The origin of Cao Lau is still the secret and takes the interest of many people. Someone said that it was originated from the homeland of beach blossom, others thought it was from China. Anyway, Cao Lau is a famous and traditional dish in Hoi An that known by almost tourists visiting the attraction.

Visiting Hoi An, tourists have a great opportunity to taste a lot of delicious dishes such as: Hoi An chicken rice, white rose, Quang noodle. Amongst them, Cao Lau is one of the dishes that tourists should not miss when being this place.

Cao Lau’s fibers are made of ground rice soaking in ash water, then stewed with fire in three times making the rigid and naturally yellow fibers. Fillings of Ca lau contain barbecue pork mixed with fried noodle fibers along with herbs and sauce making a wonderful taste. Cao lau is the special food in Hoi An and it is also one of the things calling tourists back to Hoi An. Tasting the delicious and fatty savor of Cao lau, tourists will wish to come back this place in another time.
