During the business in Vietnam on March 21, Mr. Sebastian Pinera Echenique, the President of the Republic of Chile and his entourage paid a visit to Quang Ninh.

Mr. Tran Trong Trung, Vice Chairman of Ha Long People’s Committee welcomed the Chilean delegation. The other participants are the leaders from the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Management Board of Ha Long Bay.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Trong Trung welcomed the Chilean President Sebastian Pinera Echenique to visit Ha Long Bay. He also took advantages of this occasion to introduce the potentials and advantages of social-economic development of the province, at the same time promote the landscape and geology of Ha Long Bay and the people of Quang Ninh city. He also informed the Delegation that Ha Long Bay reached the preliminary list of 7 new world’s natural wonders launched by NewOpenWorld organization.

 Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Sebastian pinera Echenique, expressed thanks for the sincere and warm reception of Quang Ninh province to the delegation and his deep pleasure and honor to visit Quang Ninh, especially go sightseeing on the World Heritage Ha Long Bay. In the afternoon on the same day, the delegation left Quang Ninh for Ha Noi, ending the beautiful day in Ha Long.
