Vinh Airport is a domestic airport located 7km from the center of Vinh city. This is a small provincial airport with two main routes: Hanoi – Vinh (by Vietnam Airlines) and Ho Chi Minh city – Vinh (by Vietnam Airlines and JetStar Pacific). In the future, this airport is expected to be improved into an international airport with flights to and from North East of Thailand  and Laos.

For those who want to visit Sen village where Ho Chi Minh was born and brought up without wasting long hours on the bus, Vinh airport should be well noted on the agenda. There are currently two daily flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh; each way ticket costs around $55.

From Vinh Airport to city center

To get to the downtown area, you can easily catch taxies outside of the airport. The average fee fluctuates between $2.5 and $3. Make sure that the taxi has a well displayed phone number and signs, as well as a running meter.
