Located in Phu Nhuan district, Tara Lounge coffee shop, this name was not randomly selected by the owner of Kathy Ngoc Lan. Tara means incarnation in female terms of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, is common in Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism, representing the feminine aspect of compassion in Tibetan Buddhism.

For Tibet, Tara is seen as a mother and a guardian, whom they often think of and pray her for difficulties of their daily life. There are 21 different incarnations of Tara, is distinguished by postures, colors, and the symbol things which they carried in their hands, The main Tara, which is green, protect me against all danger; and White Tara ensure our longevity. This meaningful name has expressed  spirit of this coffee shop owner.

has four floors, with an area of ​​400m2; in other words, this restaurant also has a very impressive area.

The ground floor is dedicated to  music and guitar concerts.

The third floor is used to watch the movie with headlights, comfortable sofas, furnitures of traditional British gypsy style; Lights and curtains are red, ... alls creat a warm, friendy  personal space. The walls hung a series of images of men, women and children in Tibet, Nepal under the gaze of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, a bodhisattva represents  for compassion and virtue. The walls are decorated with red color,which express the success, wisdom, virtue, fortune and dignity.

The top floor is the library, with many different types of books. It's a big room with  decisice white color in order to read better and made guests feel that this room is clean and relaxing. Yellow curtains reduce direct sunlight into the room. The decorations here are many kinds, from furnitures of Ikea to handmade products of Kathmandu. In this room, we  also see a portrait of Mahakala bodhisattva, a great protecter of Tibetan Buddhism, and a bookstore.

West Asian style of this coffee shop is regularly reviewed by the owner. Tara Lounge's decoration is an excellent and valuable introduction about Himalayan culture, the rich traditional cultures.
